As I approach her side, the seconds hasten
'Til time begins to flash in quantum bursts
That rob me of the moments we can share
And leave me only memories of stolen times.

The seconds between suspend our lives
Without feelings for our misery
And bother not to notice how our souls
Wither with each passing tick.

Until the Master-of-All-Time will note
The cry from deep within in our hearts
For mercy and a quickened pace
For a day when we may be rejoined.

How blissful will that time behave,
Not flying fast beyond our grasp
But slowly flowing past our hearts
Allowing love to grow and souls' repast.

Be mine my darling, as I am yours.
Share life and love and tender dreams
As time will slow with each embrace
And settle peace and calm upon our lives.
